Daily Thoughts:  Provided to you by www.dailyguideposts.com (thanks people)

1.  A Time to think:  "The most important word in the English Language is hope" Eleanor Roosevelt

2.  A Time to Act"Never lose a chance of saying a kind word"

3.  A Time to Pray"Dear Lord, I'm grateful for the love you have given me"

********************* Prepare to be amused *******************************

1.  "The most important word in the English Language is hope" Eleanor Roosevelt

The heirarchy of important English words has never been a subject that has crossed my mind, until I sat down and read this quote.....thanks a lot Eleanor!  First off, let's break down what makes something important:

Synonyms: (the fun ones anyways) - big-league, chief, exigent, heavy, momentous, paramount.

What the hell does exigent mean?  Oh...right, it means "important".  Well, that got me nowhere with what makes one word more important than another.  So I decided to do a little research of my own to help you poor guideless people decide if hope is that important.....so I headed straight to the source of all that is wise, www.dictionary.com ,  and looked up the word "hope".  I was rather amused to find this http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=Hope

It turns out Eleanor Roosevelt was WAY ahead of her time.  Because apparently she had the foresight to know that "Bob Hope" was the most important man ever, and the word "hope" has even been adopted to him in the dictionary.  So how did Mrs. Roosevelt know so much back then?  I guess the ONLY explanation for this, would be that Eleanor Roosevelt was a prophet.  So I'm going to spend the rest of my day reading what else she has been quoted saying, because it could lead to the meaning of life.......no, thank YOU Eleanor!

In conclusion, YES people, hope is important.....however, Eleanor Roosevelt was more important than hope itself.

2.  "Never lose a chance of saying a kind word"

It's really not about LOSING a chance to say a kind word.....for me, it's more about having trouble "finding" a chance to say a kind word.  This quote is acting as if life is "nice-word-chance" abundant, which is not the case especially if you live at the bottom of the ocean.  Because if you live there, you probably don't spend much time with your mouth open...unless you have it around a breathing apparatus......or if you are one of those sucker fish, in which case you couldn't talk.....or if you could, you'd probably just say "oh" a lot.  Ok, let's get back on track......

I can't say that I go out of my way to find chances to say kind words, but some things are better left unsaid, because sometimes if you try too hard to say nice things, for example to a beautiful woman.....you can easily come out sounding like a stalker.....like so:

Me to beauty abundant woman:  "You have really decorous feet"

See, this can be very bad.  So sometimes i'll let some nice things slide.....and save them up and trade them for witty pithy comments towards my friends that have less mental capacity.  But now that I realize that you can "find" kind-word opportunities....

So I'm officially hosting a "kind-word-chance" Easter Egg Hunt.....ready go!

3.  Dear Lord, I'm grateful for the love you have given me

Dear Lord, i'm grateful for the love you let "girl next door" give me last friday night.....well, you're right, I suppose "technically" it was Saturday morning......whatever, don't focus on the wrong part of the story Mr. Creator.

Best Regards, from the bullshitter......

  1. Fans of the iconic VW Golf range will have to wait with bated breaths, as the appearance of the the Golf VI is likely to be postponed. An interview with VW’s head of development Ulrich Hackenburg at the Shanghai Show established that VW’s best seller will not be replaced next spring as per original plans. Apparently, the current Golf V is still selling well and there isn’t sufficient reason to effect a hasty replacement.
However, new VW head Martin Winterkorn was not pleased with the Golf VI’s design and rescheduled the 2008 Geneva Show premiere of the car. He is said to have ordered a complete redesign. The latest addition to Golf’s long lineage seems due for launch sometime in the later months of 2008. According to Hackenburg, the new Golf will utilize an updated version of Audi’s current 160Hp 1.8 Litre plus an amazing Volvo Motor Mount and other VW accessories. Turbocharged FSI mill, most likely with a GT badge, as word suggests that VW plans halting the production of the 170Hp 1.4TSI motor due to reliability problems. The Golf VI GTI is likely to use an upgraded version of the current 2.0 TFSI motor. An SUV variant of the Golf is rumoured to be planned for introduction in the new lineup.
